She knows full well the benefits and importance of volunteerism and is a member of the Ventura County Volunteer Coordinators Council working to increase the spirit of volunteerism in Ventura County.

Ms. Steitz founded "Caring Canines", a volunteer program which is an integral part of ICM & SLS.  The program strives to make a dynamic difference in the lives of seniors, brightening up their day with wagging tails and friendly furry faces.
